I have Time Warner Cable/ Net/Phone but the phone doesn't allow FAX signals to be sent through. I had to get a land line with Verizon but I have had many issues with interruptions, billing etc and want to get rid of it completely but I need a FAX for my buisness. Someone told me to look into FAX's that are ran online. I have never heard of it before. You get an account setup with a FAX number and the FAX is sent to the site and you can print it off by logging in? How exactly does this work and where is a good site I can learn more about it?

Are the all-in-one fax/ printers/ scanners which use a pc modem to accept faxes any good? Are users of these happy with them?
The cheaper allinones are inkjet, do these still function ok? Or should I pay the extra money and get a laser printer all in one?

I want to fax my resume to someone and don't have a fax machine.

I need to get some tax documents from my parents who live in another state.

Can my parents send the documents to a local fed-ex or UPS store and then can I pick them up later? Or do those places only allow people to send a fax not receive?

I need a fax setup for a few days but not for the long term. I was wondering if there is a way to set this up online. I don't mind paying a small fee per month if required.

I can hardly find printers that function as fax machines that are affordable anymore, and a simple fax machine, even at the low end will cost well over 0. And I’m comparing to the use of an online fax service that will cost about per month.

So which makes more sense? Does anyone here use an online service just for regular home use? Is it worth it?
